Royal Caribbean is aiming for a legendary gold standard with Legend of the Seas, the upcoming third ship in its Icon Class of the world’s largest cruise ships.
With Legend of the Seas, Royal Caribbean has set out to offer a golden ticket for family vacations with more ways than ever for vacationers to make memories across eight neighborhoods on board and legendary destinations on shore. Combined with sought-after cruise itineraries in Europe and the Caribbean, Legend of the Seas’ inaugural cruise season will delight families with the cruise line’s most epic and imaginative cruise vacation experience to date.

“Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” musical will headline Legend of the Seas’ entertainment
As Royal Caribbean offers vacationers the golden ticket to a world of pure imagination at sea, it’s bringing the hit Broadway musical take on Roald Dahl’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” on board to headline Legend of the Seas’ imaginative entertainment lineup. The show will take vacationers on a journey to Willy Wonka’s mysterious factory filled with sweet Royal Caribbean twists.
Legend of the Seas will treat vacationers to a variety of new shows across stage, air, water, and ice, including performances in the AquaTheater featuring high divers, aerialists, robots, and dancers, and skating spectaculars in Absolute Zero, the largest ice arena at sea.

The new ship will also level up nightlife with more than 20 bars, lounges, and live music spots, including jazz tunes at Lou’s, singalong face-offs at Dueling Pianos, and unique cocktails at 1400 Lobby Bar.

Legend of the Seas will debut new immersive dining experiences
Vacations on Legend of the Seas will offer unmatched opportunities to indulge with 28 dining options including:

Royal Railway – Legend Station: First introduced on Utopia of the Seas, this immersive dining adventure will take diners on a five-course journey by train along the ancient Silk Routes, combining entertainment, food, and technology.

Hollywoodland Supper Club: A new supper club concept inspired by the golden age of Hollywood will offer a glamorous multi-course dinner experience celebrating cinema from 1910 to the 1950s with sultry jazz, gourmet bites, and cocktails.

AquaDome Market: The favorite food hall of Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class will offer a reimagined selection of global cuisines with five new all-day food stands, and a brand-new juice and smoothie bar.

Family dining experiences at Surfside Eatery and Basecamp in Thrill Island, plus Royal Caribbean favorites like premium cuts at Chops Grille, hibachi at Izumi, and fresh catches at Hooked Seafood.

Legend of the Seas will feature seven pools, reimagined attractions
In addition to debuting new dining experiences and entertainment, Legend of the Seas will unlock new levels of adventure and relaxation on deck with experiences including:

Thrilling attractions: six waterslides at Category 6, the largest waterpark at sea; Crown’s Edge, a part skywalk, part zip line experience 154 feet above the ocean; and more top-deck action with a new spin on mini golf at Lost Dunes, the Adrenaline Peak rock-climbing wall, and more.

Seven pools for every mood from The Hideaway infinity pool and Swim & Tonic swim-up bar for adults to Splashaway Bay for kids and the nearby Water’s Edge pool for families; plus the largest pool at sea at Royal Bay, as well as 10 whirlpools and private casitas.

Reimagined ways to play like a new carousel concept in Surfside — the neighborhood for young families — and a redesigned Playscape for young kids.
Vacationers will also enjoy signature Icon Class favorites on board Legend of the Seas including the Royal Promenade’s floor-to-ceiling ocean views, the Pearl – the world’s largest kinetic art sculpture, and the open-air Central Park featuring more than 30,500 real plants paired with restaurants, live music, and pick-up windows for sushi, champagne, and sparkling wine.

Launching in July 2026, Legend of the Seas will sail a summer season of seven-night western Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona, Spain, and Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy before making its Caribbean debut in November 2026. From Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the ship will sail six-night western Caribbean itineraries and eight-night southern Caribbean voyages all featuring visits to Royal Caribbean’s top-rated Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas.
