Adventure World has released its new Culinary Nordic Trail itinerary, catering to the global trend of authentic, food-focused travel.

While the Nordic countries are globally renowned for its spectacular scenery, rich history and culture, beautiful design, high-ranking happiness levels and quality of life, this new journey is set to redefine the region as a vital culinary hot spot.

The launch is perfectly timed to leverage the consumer appetite for the Nordic lifestyle of balance, nature and well-being. This itinerary offers travellers a fresh reason to travel to the region, moving beyond cultural highlights to dive into its innovative and sustainable food scene.

“We’ve seen a massive shift in demand toward authentic, local-led experiences, and the Nordic region was a perfect, yet overlooked, fit,” Adventure World product manager for the Nordics Lubica Sibikova said.

“Scandinavia’s vibrant food culture is being defined by fresh, foraged ingredients and seasonal sourcing – it is truly the region’s hidden gem. This Culinary Nordic Trail doesn’t just offer tastings; it was created to weave these incredible food discoveries with the region’s rich history and breathtaking landscapes, offering a deep, holistic taste of the Nordic lifestyle.”

    Seasonal and sustainable dining

The thoughtfully curated journey takes travellers through the cultural and culinary hearts of Denmark and Norway. Guided by culinary experts, guests will discover produce as fresh as the Scandinavian air while gaining insight into the Nordic philosophy of seasonal, sustainable dining.

    Itinerary highlights:

    • Copenhagen: Explore the city’s world-renowned culinary scene on a guided food tour featuring tastings of local favourites such as smørrebrød, Denmark’s iconic open-faced sandwich – a must-try classic.
    • Oslo: Sample the capital’s dynamic street food scene on a deluxe food tour, uncovering hidden gems and contemporary flavours that define Norway’s gastronomic heritage. A top food experience is trying rakfisk, a traditional fermented trout dish that’s uniquely Norwegian and often served with flatbread, potatoes, and sour cream.

Adventure World’s Culinary Nordic Trail itinerary is priced from AU$3,529pp/NZ$3,939 pp (twin share).

Highlights include a Guided food tour in Copenhagen, deluxe food tour in Oslo, expert culinary guidance, rich history, and cultural immersion.
